Move your family tree from Ancestry, MyHeritage or FamilySearch

GEDCOM is the shared file format of genealogy. Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, Geni, Gramps and almost every other service can export your tree as a .ged file, with people, dates and relationships intact.

To move, export a GEDCOM from your current service — usually under Trees, Settings or Export. Then create a tree on Kinealogy, choose Import GEDCOM and pick the file. The whole family arrives at once, ready to check.

After importing, invite the relatives who know the family best. They can correct names, add the second script and attach certificates or photographs to the facts they prove.

Your data stays yours. Full GEDCOM export is free on every plan, so you can download your tree at any time and open it anywhere. Kinealogy is never a one-way door.
